The laboratory provides students with two types of simulated training environment, namely, software based simulation training environment and cloud-based online virtual enterprise internship simulation environment. The training under simulation environment of the virtual enterprises students receive in the lab or through internet, make up students’ lack of production internship, help foster students’ capability in problem analysis and solving, and narrow the gap between teaching and practice.
At present, software based simulation training environment have been developed and put into use. Management simulation software of two shipping companies has been developed: the tramp management simulation system, container liner management simulation system.
The management simulation software of the two shipping companies is open to students taking the course of “International Shipping Management” who are for the time being from the undergraduate program of “International Shipping Management” and the graduate program of “Transport Planning and Management”.
