In order to improve sophomore students’ awareness of career planning, Mr. Xu Xiaoyi counselor of College of Transport and Communications gave suggestions to Class 2011 Transport Engineering on career plan against the current shipping market on the evening of November 25, 2012.
Mr Xu Xiaoyi, after analyzing the situation of shipping industry in China in recent years, advised that, considering the employment situation of shipping industry in recent years might remain severe before graduation, students should not only poses sound knowledge in shipping and transport but also gain excellent skill in English language and computer science. Mr. Xu gave a brief introduction about the companies and organization students might contact to seek job opportunities upon graduation. Finally, Mr Xu Xiaoyi suggested that student may face different employment options and they should have a clear career development plan of their own and start to make preparation as soon as possible.
